W4 Extra Withholding

For the extra withholding section 4(c), is this is the total amount I want withheld or the additional amount from what is currently being withheld?

W4 Extra Withholding

The amount you enter in Step 4 line C is what you want withheld in ADDITION to what is already being withheld.
