W-4 for married couples

Hello - my wife and I file our taxes jointly.  I am wondering the most accurate way to fill in our W-4s.  We have one dependent child and she makes about $10k more pre year than I do.  I'm most interested in guidance on steps 2-4 and how to claim a dependent and how many deductions we should claim.  Thanks very much.
