I have a W-2 with no amount in box 1.  It's to wife for care of her disabled brother.  It's not allowing us to file online?

    The e-file will not go through if there is no income in box 1. To bypass the e-file rejection message, you can enter $1 in box 1. You will pay tax on an extra dollar of income, but this will still be cheaper than the postage to mail your return.
