Good Day,
Box 14 lists 3 CAF 1 PA-SUI & 1 PA LST. 4 of these are on 1 w-2, the pa lst is on a separate w-2 with no other numbers on the entire form. When i click to transmit, turbo tax brings me right to review box 14.
how do i get around that?
THanks for any assistance.
Tom
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Simply combine all the "other" items into one entry as the program will not allow you to have 3 other boxes.
If you have a W-2 with an amount in box 14 but is otherwise blank don’t report it.
I'm sorry, the 2nd w-2 came with 1 entry in box 14, every other box was empty.
Think i can add up the 3 CAF's as 1?
No, you don't need to combine any entries. It sounds like you have two W2s from the same employer with one of them only reporting the "Overflow" item from box 14.
Enter the information as one W2 and you will have 5 box 14 categories listed. Each of the CAFs and the LST categories will be "Other not classified" and do not affect your tax return. The SUI category is "PA Unemployment" and will be included on Schedule A, if you itemize, automatically from your W2 entries.
Thank you for this!! however Turbo tax will not let me submit my taxes, saying box 14 has a duplicate, which it does Not!!!
everything is right in box 14, on paper, not on turbo tax!!! is their a work around ??
I would delete your Form W-2 and re-enter it. This should resolve the issue.
You can change or delete your W-2 info if you haven't filed your taxes yet.
In TurboTax Online or CD/Download:
In the TurboTax mobile app:
Thanks. I have nothing to loose, right 🙂
That's right. There is nothing to lose as by deleting what you have already in there. As long as you reenter all the information again correctly.
Tried all of the above, started a brand new return, ( now paying turbo tax a 2nd time ) and get the same results!
is there a way to transmit my return without the "we need to make one more check"
Simply combine all the "other" items into one entry as the program will not allow you to have 3 other boxes.
That did the trick!
Thank You so much!!
