Married filing jointly vs. Married filing separately

Just finished married filing jointly and a number of deductions we've taken in the past we don't qualify for this year because my spouse made too much.  How do I re-run these numbers for a married filing separately returns ?

Married filing jointly vs. Married filing separately

Usually filing joint is the better filing status but sometimes it is better to file separate.

With the Online version it is more complicated to compare the filing status. You would need to prepare a joint return, then create two separate accounts for married filing separate.  You can get a quick idea of what filing status would be better for you by using TurboTax's TaxCaster, enter your information as Married Filing Joint, then enter each of your own information as Married Filing Separate
