I used an incorrect email in error while e-filing?  How can I get it changed to the correct email?

    Changing your email address yourself saves time. Here's how to do it:

    1. Sign in to your TurboTax Online account.
    2. Select Intuit Account in the lower left corner.
    3. Click Edit at the right of the Email address line.
    4. Enter your new email address and confirm it.
    5. Enter your password.
    6. Click Save and you’re done.

    If you no longer have access to your email address and are unable to login to your TurboTax Online account, please complete the Account Recovery Request Submission Form.

    I have searched for this answer over and over and i keep seeing the same copy/pasted response and it is not answering our question.

     

    When completing the final step in the e-file process an incorrect email address was entered and accepted, evidentially it does no email verification because i put invalid characters in mine.

     

    I DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE MY INTUIT EMAIL ADDRESS, please understand, that is not what we are asking, we are asking about the email we entered on the e-file form. If this email address is irrelevant and not used please communicate that fact, but for the love of pete, please stop giving us instructions to change our intuit account email address. that is not what we are asking.

    Could you clarify your question, please? Are you saying that you entered an incorrect email address when you were e-filing? If you entered an email address that is not correct, TurboTax will send the confirmation to that email address, which could possibly belong to someone else. TurboTax software would not be able to detect that the email address that was entered does not belong to the person who entered it. That is why you are seeing answers stating that you will need to change the email address on your TurboTax account.

    I used an old email address and I need to tuse my current email address. How can I get fixed as I've been trying to fix for at least a couple days now.

    If you have already filed your tax return, then you will not be able to change the email provided on the return unless it was rejected and you subsequently were given the opportunity to fix it as CarissaM stated above. If you are wanting to change your Intuit email (not the original topic of this thread) then you may review those steps provided by VictoriaD75 above @6613466084.

    Incorrect email need to be corrected in order for the tax return for 2021 tax return can be submitted for filing.  Need to obtain the 6 digital verification code through email.
