I used an incorrect email in error while e-filing? How can I get it changed to the correct email?

Changing your email address yourself saves time. Here's how to do it:
If you no longer have access to your email address and are unable to login to your TurboTax Online account, please complete the Account Recovery Request Submission Form.
I have searched for this answer over and over and i keep seeing the same copy/pasted response and it is not answering our question.
When completing the final step in the e-file process an incorrect email address was entered and accepted, evidentially it does no email verification because i put invalid characters in mine.
I DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE MY INTUIT EMAIL ADDRESS, please understand, that is not what we are asking, we are asking about the email we entered on the e-file form. If this email address is irrelevant and not used please communicate that fact, but for the love of pete, please stop giving us instructions to change our intuit account email address. that is not what we are asking.
I used an old email address and I need to tuse my current email address. How can I get fixed as I've been trying to fix for at least a couple days now.
Could you clarify your question, please? Are you saying that you entered an incorrect email address when you were e-filing? If you entered an email address that is not correct, TurboTax will send the confirmation to that email address, which could possibly belong to someone else. TurboTax software would not be able to detect that the email address that was entered does not belong to the person who entered it. That is why you are seeing answers stating that you will need to change the email address on your TurboTax account.
Correct, incorrect email address when e-filing. How do we change it?
The email address i used when e-filing is different than my turbotax account email. They are intentionally different, i would like to change the email address on the e-file submission.
@Anonymous It sounds like you may have multiple TurboTax accounts under different emails. Please see the TurboTax FAQ below to check if you have multiple accounts and to change your email if needed. You will see instructions for an Account recovery, which will list all emails. This is the only way to update your email.
NO, NO, NO. Read the question before assuming.
When completing taxes in TurboTax Delux or whatever, during the final steps when setting up your deposit information and e-file status it asks you to enter in your email address.
I can see the incorrect email address entered on the the state worksheet form.
Again, the email address entered is not associated with my Intuit account, if i change my Intuit or TurboTax email address it will have no impact on the email i entered in during the final step of filing.
If it was using my TurboTax or Intuit email account i would have thought the programmers from Intuit/TurboTax would be smart enough to pull in the information from the account.
If you entered the incorrect email on the state worksheet, there is no way to correct that email unless your return is rejected. Then you would have a chance to fix the email address prior to re-filing the return.
You can monitor your return status by clicking here.
If you need to contact your state tax department, you can find their information here.
I dont see the intuit at the bottom left of the page
Can you clarify? What do you mean by the Intuit at the bottom?
entered: [email address removed]
should be: [email address removed]
If you have already filed your tax return, then you will not be able to change the email provided on the return unless it was rejected and you subsequently were given the opportunity to fix it as CarissaM stated above. If you are wanting to change your Intuit email (not the original topic of this thread) then you may review those steps provided by VictoriaD75 above @6613466084.
need to correct my incorrect email listed on tax return for 2021 in order to submit return
