Which of the Turbotax solutions is best for filing as a US Citizen resident abroad?

If you were to use the TurboTax online web-based editions you would need the Deluxe edition at a minimum.

If you were to use the TurboTax desktop Download editions to be installed on a personal computer, Windows or Mac, then any of the editions can be used but the Deluxe or Premier edition would be recommended.

Be aware,

The desktop version is not licensed for sale outside the US. You may be able to get a copy from a friend,or you may be able to trick Amazon or whoever, that you are in the US if you can use a US address and US credit card to purchase the download. (I suspect there is an export restriction on the built-in encryption code.)

And, to use the Online version, you must also have a US-based credit card.

And, for any version, you must have a US bank account to receive a refund by direct deposit from the IRS. If you don't have a US bank account, the IRS will mail a paper check.
