Hi, after entering data for 1099-Rs, on the "Let's check if you met the minimum distribution requirement" form -- I checked "No" in response to "Did you take RMDs for all retirement accounts that have this requirement?" because I missed an RMD for an IRA in 2024.
I get the following message:
We recommend waiting to file your taxes
We're working on some updates related to your required distribution, but you can still work on other parts of your tax return. Please check back later.
I've checked back for a couple of weeks and updated TT several times, but this message continues to appear.
Does anyone know when these updates for missed RMDs might by available / applied and do these updates affect online Form 5329?
Because all other parts of my return are done, thinking about changing answer to "Yes" and e-filing 1040 while printing out 5329 for mailing -- if not updated soon. Any thoughts?
Thank you!
