TurboTax can definitely help you file your education forms.
- If your parents still claim you as a dependent on their return, they may need to file the education forms there, to check for the Education Credits.
- If you are filing a return and not any longer their dependent, then you will file them on your own return.
You will need to have the Deluxe version of TurboTax. Your Form W-2 will be entered first, in the Wages and Income section. Then when you get to the Deductions and Credits section of the return, look for the Education section. It will look like the image below and you will enter you Form 1099-Q and Form 1098-T there.
