Unemployment compensation
I applied for unemployment benefits in 2016, but didn't receive any funds until 2017. Does this mean I don't include it in my 2016 taxes? I haven't received any W2 or 1099 for the unemployment.

Yes. If you didn't receive any unemployment benefits in 2016, then you won't need to report anything.
