When I am ready to file my return I am told Turbo Tax is waiting on the IRS for an updated form. This has been going on for weeks. What is this form and what is the hold up? I do not have a complicated return.

Update is necessary before transmitting return
When I select "Transmit Returns Now", after thinking a few seconds it returns a popup that says "There is an update available for your version of TurboTax. Before you can file electronically, you'll need to get this update. To do this, go to the online menu and select Check For Updates."
Before I started my return today, I did the updates. When I go to the online menu and select "Check for Updates", it tells me "Your software is up to date." But then when I select "Transmit Returns Now", it gives me the same message as above ("There is an update available..."). I'm caught in a circle. Can you help? I've already paid on-line for my state tax return. I'm using TurboTax Home and Business.

Try this -
Save your tax return and close the TurboTax program.
Re-start your computer.
Access the TurboTax program again to see if the problem has been corrected.
If the problem persists contact TurboTax support for assistance -

I have the same problem. I was just on the phone with support and after 30 minutes and being put on hold, the customer service rep hung up on me and he left my shared screen. How rude is that.
Why can't I get help to transmit my return? There is obviously a glitch and I can't be the only one having the issue. Please give me the solution so I can get my refund.
What version of TurboTax are you using? Online or Download/Desktop?

When I downloaded the manual update to my computer and then double-clicked it, it said I don't have TurboTax 2021 installed on my computer. I most certainly do have it installed. Please help me to transmit my return.
