Turbotax won't let me file because of a K-1 Trust form which I don't need. What gives and how can this be fixed.

You can delete the K-1 Trust by following these steps:

  1. Click on Federal Taxes > Wages & Income [In TT Self-Employed:  Personal > Personal Income > I'll choose what I work on].
  2. Under S-corps, Partnerships, and Trusts, click on the box next to Schedule K-1
  3. On the Tell Us About Your Schedules K-1 screen.  Click on the Start/Update box next to Estates or trusts (Form 1041).
  4. If you have already entered K-1 Trust information or it transferred from last year, you will see the Estates and Trusts K-1 Summary screenClick Delete next to the Trust name.

The same thing is happening this year, but because the laws are changing K-1, and supposedly won't be available till Feb 21, TURBOTAX is not giving the delete option after clicking update, simply says this area is not available sorry.  I cannot complete my taxes because the program thinks I have a K-1 and I DO NOT. ugh
