TurboTax will not open after system crashed in the middle of update.

Download and install the Manual Update.  That is run separately from the main program, and may fix the issues you are having.   It takes a lot longer to run than expected...so go do something else for 15 min after you are sure it has started up.

 

Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software (intuit.com)
