I have a fairly new Macbook Pro , Sequoia OS, but Turbotax just hangs when I try to save the file to PDF. Incredibly annoying. The software itself tends to hang every other time I open it. I think this might be my last year using Turbotax...I purchase the software via download from the Intuit site. I also have shares it the company..No wonder it has been in the dumps. Considering my experience with their flagship software, I will likely dump my shares in the coming months.. Amazing in the 21 century there are basic coding issues..how disappointing. I just need to get through this year.

A lot of Mac users are having problems printing and/or saving to PDF. See the steps that a mac user @maukro has been providing other Mac users in the following thread. Maukro will also probably see your question here since I mentioned their name here.
Thanks again, @mesquitebean, for forwarding people to my workaround solution.
@RonMox , as @mesquitebean said, you are not alone. It is a rampant problem with TurboTax this year! It seems to affect mostly Mac users, but also some Windows users. Like you, I have a fairly new Mac (desktop) and Sequoia OS, and the same HP Printer I've had for many previous TurboTax years. But, like you, Turbotax just hangs when I try to use the program's Print 'button' or when I try to Save the file to PDF. (For me, the software does not hang at any other time -- just when attempting to Print from the Program or Save to PDF.) Like you, I purchased the software via download from the Intuit site.
We are amongst MANY who report the same thing.
Moral of the story: It's not you. It's them.
@mesquitebean 's link (in the post above) will take you to 2 recommended workarounds, the first of which is the quicker fix that works for some, and the latter of which seems to work for everybody EXCEPT those whose operating systems are advertised to be incompatible with 2024 TurboTax.
Quite frankly if I was part of the team involved with the Turbotax Premier edition, I would be somewhat ashamed of this product they put out. I think most people take pride in what they do, the product, or services they provide. Unfortunately, Intuit does not fall in this category. Two years ago I had problems with Turbotax, and last year I had a complex tax situation and a CPA did my taxes. This year, unfortunately, I went back to this lemon of a product and the miserable product did not disappoint in its failures. BTW, about 30% of the time when I open the software, it just hangs at closing..
