Turbotax online failing to do e-filing repeatedly

I tried looking up the answer.  There was some mention about phone number not being present in the intuit account.  I verified it exists.  very frustrating experience as it is failing to do efile repeatedly.  I don't want to print and return.

Turbotax online failing to do e-filing repeatedly

Do you have a foreign phone number in your account.   If the message is about an SMS error, see if the following helps.  

 

There seems to be an issue with e-filing when there is not a US phone number listed in your Intuit Online account.   When you are signed into your account, click on Intuit Account in the bottom left corner.    The error is not from the phone number on your tax return but rather the phone number attached to your Intuit (TurboTax) account.  

 

Change your phone number to a US number in the Intuit Account of Turbo Tax.   No need to verify this number in the Intuit Account just click exit when you are done. Then go back to your return and continue filing.   Don't use a Google Voice number, a Skype number, or any other non-US or non-verifiable phone number.  Again, you don't have to verify the number but the number needs to be verifiable.  

 

You may be able to leave the phone number field blank on your Intuit account and e-file your return.  No matter which option you use, make sure to update your account with your correct phone number once your return is e-filed.

Turbotax online failing to do e-filing repeatedly

i already followed that and even wit that it was failing.  now state is stuck at pending state.   it has been 4 hrs stuck at this state.  if it goes beyond midnight and state asks me for fine,  I will have to ask for a refund from TT.  

 

not very happy the way it is behaving.  What expectation can I have that it will finish it by today.

Turbotax online failing to do e-filing repeatedly

The due date is May 17 midnight - this is the 16th.

 

Pending meas the TurboTax has done it's job and not it is up to the IRS and state to accept them.    That can take up to 48 hours.

 

The IRS system is currently down for maintenance this Sunday night.  State returns cannot be sent until the IRS accepts first.

The MeF Production system will be unavailable due to maintenance starting at 10:00 p.m Eastern time on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

Please refrain from accessing the MeF Production system during the maintenance.  

A QuickAlerts bulletin will be sent when the system is operational.

Please monitor the MeF Operational Status page for any future updates.
