TurboTax is recording all of my asset sales as short term.

TurboTax 2023 Premier is recording all of my asset sales as short term.  When I click on the short/long-term box to change some entries to long term, the program tells me the values are calculated.  I have entered the dates correctly. Is there a fix on the horizon for this?

Are you using the online version of Premier?

The Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, etc., section of the TurboTax desktop versions is not yet available for data entry.

Are you entering investment sales in forms mode in the CD/Download ("desktop") TurboTax software? Entering investment sales in forms mode is very complicated and error-prone, and requires the use of multiple worksheets. You are probably not using the forms correctly. If you're having trouble, it would be best to wait until the investment sales section of the Step-by-Step interview is available, then use the interview to enter your sales. It is tentatively expected to be available January 4.

If you have further questions, please tell us whether you are using TurboTax Online or the CD/Download TurboTax software. And are you using Premier or Premium?
