As I have done during the last several years, I paid for this year's on November 5. On November 13 I received a message, "your order is ready". So, I downloaded the 2020 Turbotax program's Installer, and saved it on my desktop. I clicked on it there, and my Windows 10 computer asked whether I will allow the progam to make changes on my computer. I clicked on "yes". For a moment, my screen went blank and then my desktop returned. I was never asked to input the code I was told I'd need. Anyway, despite my waiting a half hour, the program did not install. I repeated my attempt twice and it did not install with its icon on my desktop. (My computer contains several previous year installations. I checked and this year's was not there.)
I hope someone can help.

I have the same problem. The installer program downloaded with no problems. Trying to run the installer was where the problem arose. After several attempts and getting a blank white screen, I got a 'Network - Error' message.
I never saw any "network error message".
Was your problem ever solved?
Do you, or anyone here, have a way to solve the problem to let me use the software this year?
Thank you.
Frank
Tax season starts in January.
Download the installer again at that time.
@Anonymous - the install issue I experienced related to Windows version 20h2, but for me the program installed correctly, and obtained all the updates.... the problem is that once all that occurs, the activation screen is supposed to launch and THAT is the problem I reported with 20h2. per the 800 tech support folks, it's a known issue that they are working on.
I just got the installer to work for me.
I right-clicked on the installer and tried "Run as an adminitrator" and the program installed, and added current updates.
I do not know why I had to act as administrator -- I din not need to do so for the versions of previous years -- but it worked!
Hopefully, this will help others.

I was using wi-fi to download that may have been part of the problem. I used an ethernet cable and the download worked. I started a new return and got through the personal information and saved the file. I went back to continue and got a message that said the file could not be opened...that it must be corrupted. I started a new return a couple of times with the same result. Thinking that it could be a problem with the download, I uninstalled TurboTax. I downloaded and installed TurboTax again. After starting a new return a couple of times with the same inability to open my saved file, I gave up. Anybody have something similar happen?
The NEXT problem:
After I got it to install, I was asked to enter the license code. I went to my Turbo Tax Account where it was displayed for my Turbotax Advantage Delux Tax Year 2020 Win Download. (I obtained and saved a Print-screen.) I entered that code and was told it is "not valid. Error Code 605." ( I saved a Print-screen of that page also.)
I will be glad to show tech support the two Print-screens which prove that I entered the code corectly and that it was not accepted.
Is there any way I can send them to document that I sent what I was told to send and it was not accepted?
Thank you.
Thank you.
I tried both ways: copy/paste, and directil typing it in.
