I finished filing my return on the 22nd, saturday. The irs announced January 8, 2022 that it starts accepting and processing federal returns on January 24. Every year on opening day I have notifications that my tax filing has been submitted except this year! Upon further research in the interactive tool for turbotax tax filing support, TurboTax is claiming the irs doesn’t accept return until January 28. I have a screen shot of the message as well. This information is COMPLETELY FALSE. Why are you claiming false IRS information? How can I have my return submitted as y’all have the wrong dates. I’m waiting for a tax refund advance and was counting on the money. Turbo tax can not claim an incorrect irs filing date.

E-file anytime you want to now. People actually began e-filing several weeks ago and their e-files have been just sitting on the servers waiting for the IRS to start accepting/rejecting returns.
Then watch your emails.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
Would you mind sending the screenshot showing that TurboTax will not submit your return until January 28th?
yes I absolutely can. I just tried to find the attachment link on the reply form However I don’t see one. How can I get this to you?
I figured it out! Lol.here we go!
The link you posted seems to refer to 2020 taxes filed in 2021...note the Feb 8, 2021 date reference.
