TurboTax gives the choice (1) married 2022 or earlier OR (2) married 2022. I picked married 2022 or earlier. The program then said I had marked 2022.

Where did it ask you this? That doesn't sound right. They both start by saying.... married 2022. Can you post a screen shot?
