TurboTax does not pay your state tax.   You may have chosen to pay your state via direct debit from your account, but TurboTax does not extract that payment.  It is up to the state to pull out the payment.   Check on the  page of filing instructions that prints out with your tax return to see what it says about how you chose to pay the state tax owed.

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment.  For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.
