Turbotax Deluxe 2019 on Windows 10 hangs

I don't know where to post a bug report, so if necessary, please move or send this to the appropriate place...

I worked with a Turbotax person via phone yesterday, and they sent me a new copy of the program, we tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and after the call, I even moved the software to a different Windows PC.  So this bug occurs in Windows 10, both on 64-bit and 32-bit platforms.

I thought I might need to file a separate tax return for my 15-y-o child due to some Social Security benefits. So I opened a new return, entered the standard basic info, no W-2, interest from a bank, a dividend from an investment, and the Social Security-reported amount. After getting through all nine step-by-step income sections, when I click "Done with Income", the program hangs. All I can do is kill it by clicking the "X" in the upper right corner to end the program. Removing the Social Security Benefits worksheet does not help. Returning to the Step-by-step process, clicking Done with Income always causes the process to hang.

The program has worked successfully on my own tax file.  But it fails with this limited entry of income.

are all win 10 updates installed.       if so, then try running TT in compatability mode. right click on tt icon.  select properties . click on compatability tab and then select windows 7.   this may not fix your problem.  it's hard to understand why your return works but her's doen't.   if compatability mode doesn't work, you can always try IRS free file. .and if necessary prepare her state return manually. however, check state website to see if her return can be done for free using state's online program.

HACKITOFF:  thanks for the reply.  I am pretty sure I don't actually need to file a return for her -- I just wanted to report the bug.  It is simple to set up the same tax situation... maybe you could try and see what happens.   It takes about 5 minutes to start a new return and enter the two Interest & Dividend amounts, and then step through all the other income sections, and then press the deadly "Done with Income" button.

Also, I am sure all the TurboTax (And Windows) updates have been applied. I never bypass the invitation to update, and when I installed on the second PC, the first step it did was to apply all the TT updates.
