TurboTax 2022 Deleted my return after update!

Hmmm.. I did a search for the extension and looked in every folder I could find.  I do appreciate you trying to help!

I didn't use the recent files list because it was not showing anything there.

I used windows search on the file system itself to search for *.tax,
Then I used a third party product Agent Ransack to do a search for *.tax, *.ttax, which shows anything that even starts out with those extension letters.

Same exact description of problem and circumstances.

This is so-------ridiculous that this is a know problem that still exists. I see the same problem from previous years.

I read how to get a transcript of your tax return from the IRS. Follow the instructions and get an ID Me account.

They verify with a picture of your drivers license and a biometric scan of your face on cellphone.

Worked.
