First off, I am aware how refunds can be lowered due to various reason. I know Turbo Tax takes its fees out of whatever refund is sent. I have waited and received letter from IRS stating if and why refund was changed. Initial refund per TT was $1800. IRS took $500 back from stimulous for whatever reason. Got letter said refund is now $1300 and will be deposited on 6/23. I verified on line with my online IRS account which says I owe no taxes for any past years. I then pulled up the transcripts for 2021 and saw where they took the $500 and at the bottom it said final refund $1300 will be deposited into my bank 6/23/22 I wake up today and I have a $24 deposite from TPG. I have no idea how a company or companies as large as TT, Intuit and this TPG bank can have so many complaints and issues over every platform on the internet. Seems Like the only way anyone gets anything done is by filing lawsuits which is a shame but if I dont get a quick resolution thats whatI will do.

@Tiefighter9 -while I can't begin to explain why there was only $24 deposited, let me see if I can help out with the $500, and it is interesting that there is $1300 missing as $1800 means something.
$1800 normally means the Advance Child Tax Credit on a child 6-17 years old. Did you claim one such child??
1) please review Form 8812 line 14f. This is the amount you told TurboTax during the interview process you received for the Advance.
2) Now please review your bank statements from July - December, 2021. Please do not do this from memory and please check each of the six months.
3) please see what is on Line 28 of Form 1040. Let me know what is there.
If 1) and 2) do not match, the IRS will adjust your tax return for the difference. 1) represents what you told TT that the IRS sent you and 2) is what the IRS sent to your bank. They need to match.
Any chance you read the transcript incorrectly??????? It is just odd that what was adjusted plus what is missing equals $1800 and that is the same number as an Advance Child Tax Credit for a child from age 6-17
This is from 2021 Advanced child tac credit payment information. Total Amount You Received for 2021 Payments (Box 1) $750.00
Number of Qualifying Children for 2021 Payments (Box 2) 1
$ 1971.00 was original refund. Then they amended it and it went to $1823 and refund was $1328.
That is $495 deducted.
So form 8812 line 14 f i put $750
@Tiefighter9 - yeah, but there were two letters - each one would have stated $750 - one went to you and one went to your spouse. They needed to be added together and entered into Turbo Tax - that is probably where the confusion began.
what was originally on Line 28 of Form 1040?
750 we filed seperately
@Tiefighter9 - okay - now all makes sense.....
But ultimately even if they took the $750 out of the 1321 that is still 571 not to mention the letter said $1300
