just filed my 2023 taxes today, 01/26/2024, for Fed and SC. There was a message saying:
"Your SC return(s) is currently unavailable to view, print, or download because of some of the forms haven't been finalized yet" I click on "Notify me when my forms are ready." I enter my email and entered it again, clicked on "Sign Up" and I got the following message: "Unable to load messageid No forms or products have been specified. Please close the window and try again. for en_US" I tried three times to no avail.
How do I sign up so I can know when my SC tax forms are available for me to print and to save? Will Turbo Tax notify me?
There so many other problems with turbo tax this year including input wrong income number from W2.

Here's a list of South Carolina Forms that are available for Print and Efile.
It appears that most forms are ready to print.
If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies, then go back to the Print Center.

I did not use Turbo Tax online. I still have issue with viewing and printing with message "Your SC return is currently unavailable to view print or download because some of the forms haven't been finalized yet."
Notify me when my forms are ready is not working.

Tried everything you suggested: clear cache..run update -got latest update. But problem still there. Unable to view or print SC state tax return!

Hi Holly. I'm from SC and encountered the same problems (and same error message) as you did after I had already e-filed taxes and they were received by both FED & SC. Seems like TurboTax has SC bug not resolved. You said you deleted SC state tax and started over to fix the problem. How did you do that if you already filed your tax return? I'm stuck like a bug in paint. Thanks in advance for any help.

I am a long-time Turbo Tax user. I never encountered a problem in past years. You need to contact TT software development. This bug has affected other people.
Issue:
After I completed and E-filed both Federal & South Carolina tax returns on February 5, and they were accepted by each a few hours later, I am unable to Save/Print the South Carolina Tax Return. Only the 2023 Federal Tax Return can be printed/saved.
At the Print/Save Page it says, "Your South Carolina return(s) is currently unavailable to view, print, or download because some forms haven't been finalized yet."
When you click on the link = "Notify me when my forms are ready" you get "Sign Up For Email Notification." After you enter your email & confirm email, the following Error Message appears:
"Unable to load messageid No forms or products have been specified. Please close the window and try again. for en_US." I have tried multiple times over the last week, cleared cache blah blah blah - no fix.
Please Note: Both Federal & South Carolina Tax returns were e-filed, accepted, and Tax Payment from my bank was processed by South Carolina & Federal Return refund is scheduled. So, it appears the SC State Return was good enough with all necessary forms when e-filed.
Please Note: Also in this online thread, another user brought this exact problem to the attention of TT. This person encountered this SAME problem "BEFORE return was E-filed" and was discovered when they attempted to Print/Save BEFORE filing in order to first review the return. This person noted that they deleted the South Carolina return, installed new, went through process of completing return again, and this time there was no issue and was able to save/print both Federal and South Carolina State Tax Returns.
"I Can't Do" what the previous person did and delete SC form as I encountered the problem when I went to save/print my returns AFTER I e-filed and both returns were accepted. No clearing cache or other basic remedial recommendations will work.
I need to have Turbo Tax fix this problem with a software update specifically for the South Carolina Tax Return so that I can print/save my SC return which will also be needed next year when I file for 2024.
I tried to be as specific and concise as possible. Please have someone address this issue. Thank you.
With the exception of a few forms, you should be able to print your SC return. Since they were previously unavailable, please try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies if you are using TurboTax Online, and reopen TurboTax. You can also try a different browser.
Also, make sure you have ran all updates.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, check for updates under the Online Tab.
Once you have followed these steps, can you tell me if it solved your problem?
Use this tool to look up when your individual tax forms will be available in TurboTax. You can search by TurboTax product and for IRS or state-specific forms.
I am extremely disappointed in your reply. I took a great deal of time and effort to tell you specifically about the problem that I (and others) are having with the South Carolina tax return this year. All you did was give me a canned reply that I've seen many times over on this site. You did not read my post.
Please forward my previous message to your superiors. This problem is not an isolated problem.
I'll let others know of this problem on an Amazon review and other online media.
Same issue here. Using the Installed App (NOT THE WEB VERSION) on Windows 11. Software is up to date as of 2/16/2024 1:16PM EST. Print window says "Your South Carolina return(s) is currently unavailable to view, print, or download because some of the forms haven't been finalized yet". When I click on Notify me when forms are ready, it jumps to my browser and an error message appears ... 'Unable to load messageid No forms or products have been specified. Please close the window and try again. for en_US".
I hope they fix this problem with their program this year and it appears it may be specific to the South Carolina return. TurboTax technical support is useless - good at only giving canned replies (clear cache, cookies, etc, for novices). I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and 4 years in South Carolina. This year is the first year that I have experienced a problem - one that many others have as well. The measure of a company isn't just when all things go well, but how they address a problem with their product when one occurs. On this matter, so far, TurboTax response has been an Epic Fail. Whether I continue to use them for a 12th year depends if they fix this problem soon with an update.
