We can understand how that could be frustrating! You are correct, Florida does not levy a state individual income tax but TurboTax helps Florida residents who may have business or rental property.

The Florida return in TurboTax is a Tangible Personal Property tax return (Form DR-405) that is printed and mailed to the local county property appraiser's office.

If you do not have a Florida-located business or rental property with assets to report, you can dispense with the Florida return entirely. Simply click the Skip State button or click the No button when you are asked if you want to prepare Form DR-405 (see screenshots).

If you were already charged for a Florida return, you can contact Support via the link below, and request a refund.
