Turbo Tax Home and Business 2023 Desktop won't import PDF from HR Block

I just purchased TurboTax 2023 H&B Desktop (for Mac), and when I try to import a PDF of my 2022 taxes off my computer (from HR Block tax software), I get an "import was unsuccessful" error and a recommendation to check my internet connection. I have tried with my own 1040 as well as will my children's (that are not complicated returns).  How do I import my information from last year into TurboTax?

A pdf is almost useless.  It will only put in some personal information like your name, address, SSN.  It will not pull any of the tax data from last year into your new return.   You would be just as well off to start it from scratch and enter it all by hand, starting with the personal information.
