Turbo Tax gave me a wrong refund

Turbo Tax messed up my return for 2022, which resulted in a tax amendment.

It took me months to correct everything and after hours of phone calls with various agents (at least 15 calls), I got a confirmation for the service fee refund. However, they gave me a refund for 2023 NOT 2022, which is ~$200 difference.

I have been calling them since then and have talked to at least 5 different agents to get this corrected but I still have not received my money back for the difference. I have asked to escalate this issue many times and even asked for an email of the manager who is managing this but all I get is an email saying it's been taken care of without any updates.

The last message I got was from 2 weeks ago:

My name is Amanda and I am a manager here at TurboTax Live. I just wanted to follow up briefly to let you know that we are currently working on refunding the remainder of the fees paid for 2022. It has been escalated to a separate department and they are actively working the request. Shirley or I will be in touch regarding when the refund is processed. Thank you so much for your patience!

Kind regards,

Amanda P., EA

Manager, TurboTax Live

The way that the system is set up the refund has be be completed within 12 months after it was paid for.  They refunded 2023 because they were not able to refund 2022.
