Turbo Tax does not recognize a zip code on our W-2G statement?

All information entered on W2-G statements are correct. TurboTax desktop only has a drop down for state entry. This being Nevada zip 89109. This is being flagged as an error and prevents e-file. Note, all other W2-G entries from other locations are without error.

TurboTax can say "zip code error" even when it's something else wrong with the address.   First, make sure you are using the correct state abbreviation.  Sometimes the wrong one gets input from the dropdown menu such as NV, ND, NE, NM, etc.  A jiggle of the mouse wheel can choose the wrong one.

Also try entering the street address without any punctuation.  Also be sure the correct city is shown.

Check the exact styling that the USPS shows for the address at this site:

The dropdown only has full state names not abbreviations. Other W2-G from NJ have no issues

I found the issue. Street Address had the word SOUTH in it. I removed SOUTH and it went through.

Great news!   Was it the USPS styling lookup that provided that clue?
