Turbo Tax Desktop Business 2024 Bug

End of Year Assets does not equal to "Buildings and Other Depreciable Assets" - "Less: Accumulated Depreciation". The balance sheet is only showing - "Less: Accumulated Depreciation" (Negative Balance).

It is treating it as though "Buildings and Other Depreciable Assets" was equal to zero.

The development team is working to correct the experience you witnessed in your return.  It is tentatively expected to be released in an update over the next week or so.

Your ending depreciable assets balance may have carried over automatically from the beginning balance and TurboTax may be reading it as a zero. To fix this:

- Click on Step-by-Step in the top right corner.

- Choose Federal Taxes and then Balance Sheet

- Click Edit next to Balance Sheet and then click Quick Entry.

- in the second column, enter your correct ending amount as the ending balance for your Buildings and other depreciable assets.

- Click Done. Ensure your total assets on this screen are correct.
