Trying to download data from Vanguard Mutual Funds for 2024

This year 2024 only Vanguard BROKERAGE appears in the Turbotax download menu, no Vanguard Mutual Funds. Why is this and do I have to do it manually (yech!)

Trying to download data from Vanguard Mutual Funds for 2024

My best guess is Vanguard converted all of the remaining mutual fund accounts to brokerage accounts by year end 2024.   They sent out separate 1099's for each if the transition was made in 2024.  How they handled the downloads I have no idea.

Trying to download data from Vanguard Mutual Funds for 2024

2024 Turbotax online only shows Vanguard 2024 Brokerage 1099-Div available for import (it worked).    It does not show Vanguard Mutual Fund 1099-Div for 2024 available for import (thanks Vang, you are terrible again).  When I use alternate method (QR, upload from desktop), it only imports the first of four funds on my 1099- Div (thanks for nothing Vang again).  Thus my only solution is to skip import and enter each of my four funds 1099-Div figures as separate 1099-Divs in Turbo.  I can do this but I worry it will trip something with the IRS having four 1099-Div entries from Vanguard for each of my four funds in my turbo filing instead of just one entry from Vanguard with all the four funds which is how Vang will report it to IRS.   any suggestions?  thank you

If you received four IRS form 1099-DIV forms from the financial institution, the financial institution should also be reporting the same four IRS form 1099-DIV information to the IRS.

However, you may want to retain in your income tax paperwork a record of how this income information was posted, should a tax authority have a question about the income at a later time.
