Trouble signing in

I've purchased TurboTax, and have used it for several years. My laptop does not have a way to insert a CD. When I try to Sign In in order to download at InstallTurboTax.com, the verification code is never sent to my phone number (either via text or via a phone call). When I Sign In using my email address, I do receive a verification code, but when I enter that, I'm again asked for a phone number but again do not receive the verification for that number. I have a License Code, but I never find a way to enter it. I simply CANNOT GET IN in order even to start my taxes!!

Hi -- Thanks for your response. Actually, I kept trying to get in yesterday and finally did. But now I have another problem that Turbo Tax should know about. I purchased my 2021 TurboTax Deluxe package from Amazon, thru an email that TT sent me, a few months ago. I didn't download the program until yesterday (I don't have a disc tray on my laptop), and I was shocked to find that it was TurboTax for 2019!! I did click to download updates, which I presume (hope!) actually brought the program up to date for today rather than for April 2020!

Thanks to having a fairly simple tax return, I was able to finish my Federal and State returns using this outdated program, but of course when I printed copies of the returns, both clearly indicated that they were for 2019. Because it's too near filing time to return this product to you or to Amazon and receive a correct product for the correct year, and because it's a weekend, I will need to go out tomorrow to obtain hard copies of the returns and instruction booklets, check the TurboTax entries carefully to be sure they're still applicable for 2021, and transfer the information manually--sort of like the old days!

I've always found TurboTax to be a great resource but, as you can imagine, this experience of gross sloppiness, along with the difficulty accessing any customer service assistance, does not help your reputation in my mind!

You cannot file your 2021 tax return using an older version of the tax software. If you were filing a current year using the old version, it can cause many issues as tax laws change year to year.

You would need to contact Amazon for a refund if it is the incorrect year.
