The place you deal with "State" exemption of tribal W-2 income is usually somewhere in the state interview.....and is only a reduction of your state W-2 income for state tax purposes.....not Federal taxes.
Each state's software will have it's own section, so no one can tell you where it is unless you tell them what state you live/work in. Just look for a question about a state income adjustment somewhere in the state interview section....but only after after your Federal return has been fully prepared.

Generally speaking.....(but details may vary for different states.)
1) You must be an enrolled member of that tribe where you live and work.
2) you must live and work a W-2 job on that same tribal reservation, and not work off reservation land, nor on some other tribe's land.
