I am getting the following error message when I hit the Transmit Returns Now button:
Refund Transfer payment method isn't available right now.
You have missed the deadline. E-filing is closed permanently for 2019 returns. You need to print, sign and mail your return now.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
Note---that also means you cannot pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund. In order to print your return for mailing you have to pay your fees upfront using a debit/credit card.
Please see the attached link for the address to use to mail your federal return. The address does depend upon your state of residence.
