Transferring 2022 Tax Return

I have just installed the 2023 Desktop for Mac Basic version and tried to transfer my 2022 tax return.  It was not found on my computer and I got the error: "The open file operation failed".  The 2022 tax return file (with extension .tax2022)  is saved in the local Documents folder and can be opened with the 2022 Turbotax program.

How can I direct Turbotax 2023 to locate and transfer last year's tax return?

Try this ... open the 22 program and save the .taxfile to a place easily found like your desktop... it cannot be on a backup drive or removable storage medium.    Then direct the 23 program to that file on the desktop.

Thanks.  I followed your suggestion and successfully transferred last year's return.
