Transferring 2020 tax file (cd/download) into 2022 CD/download or online

Hi All,

I skipped a year in 2021 (accountant did the taxes). I know when I start my new taxes that the 2021 specific information will have to be manually added. 

My question is can I still transfer my general information from 2020 (CD/Download Home & Business) into 2022 CD/download or online? 

Or do I just start all over?

Sorry no.  You can only transfer from the immediate prior year so you would need a 2021 file ending in .tax2021.

No. the data from 2020 cannot be transferred to 2022. it would first have to be transferred to 2021.
