I have a MAC computer. I did my 2023 taxes on the desktop version of Turbotax Premier. This year I used the online Premium version of Turbotax for my 2024 taxes.
As advised by TT assistant, I went to TOOLS and then downloaded a 2023 .x tax file. I then hit transfer. After a brief period of time only 2 of my 7 dividend accounts from 2023 were transferred! I made many attempts-- same problem and then the seeming transfer took over 10 minutes and was still going. The TT assistant aborted this before it completed.
This is being escalated as a technical problem. But I am dubious given past experience.
Is there possibly a work-around for this issue? it seems I saw one online, but can't find it.
Thanks!
P.S. There was no listing below for the Premium version I am currently using, so I was forced to choose Premier.

I would like to do the same, could we get some technical assistance here?
I was able to transfer the 2023 tax most of my 2923 data. Here are the steps:
1) Open your federal return
2 You will see Tools in the lower left hand margin. Click on this and scroll down to the option which refers to transfer of tax data from 2023.
3. Follow the prompts and find in your documents a txt file and click on it to open in the box provided
I followed the above steps successfully but was not able to import all last year’s income sources. TT said these brokerages were not currently partnered! Not true. To avoid having to enter these manually, I gave up on the Online TT version.
The Desktop did the transfer flawlessly. I also prefer the desktop since it enables you to view the tax forms as you work on them. I was told that the Online enabled more readily available HELP, but I am dubious since, despite hours on the phone, my issues were not fully resolved. If you don’t need to transfer investment data from a lot of sources, you will probably have no problem with the transfer to Online TT. Do just make certain please that there are no omissions.
