Transfer from the future?

Is there any trick to get Turbotax previous year to transfer as much info as possible from a future year turbotax return?  Esp. not having to type in all names, ages, social security numbers, etc?

If you mean can you transfer the 2019 program info into  say a 2018 program  then no that is not possible.

Thanks for your reply.  Since TT can transfer from a pdf perhaps if I had a return with only personal data filled in (names, addresses, dependents, SS numbers, etc.) would it at least transfer that?  I tried doing this with a 2018 pdf return into the 2017 program and it worked for a while but then got an error.  But it was a complete 2018 return.

The program  cannot transfer info from a future year program into a prior year one ... it can only transfer from a prior tax year.   If you started the 2017 return using the TT online program you can download the 2017 .taxfile and OPEN it in the 2017 Downloaded version to continue the process.
