Transaction fees for using debit card?

I am being charged $65 transaction fee when paying my Federal Taxes through Turbo tax, will it charge me that if I just make a direct debit from my bank account?

There are no fees when you use your bank account. Pay the IRS directly here.

Transaction fees for using debit card?

I have never been charged a transaction fee for eFiling Federal taxes. I use the desktop version of Turbotax, so I have already paid for the program. I use the ACH pay from my checking account payment method. It costs $25 to eFile State taxes, but I got a $10 discount when I bought TurboTax at Costco. You need to find out who is charging the transaction fee - the IRS, your bank card, etc.

I hope this helps.

You should have received an email after filing your return that shows a breakdown of your fees and what you were charged. I would suggest reviewing your fees to see exactly what you were charged for, as e-filing is free, but there is normally a cost for the preparation of your tax return.

Are you referring to a Direct Debit that was set up for taxes owed? If you are, there's no charge on our end for this service.
