If you make quarterly tax payments to the IRS throughout the year where do you put this info into to Turbo Tax when filing your year end return?

Does the IRS send you a specific form that details the total quarterly tax payments made throughout the year?

To report the payments you made, you use the category Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid, which is under Deductions and Credits.  The fastest way to navigate to the estimated taxes section in the Online product is:
  • Open your return.
  • Once the return is open, click on the search tab in the top right corner.
  • In the search box enter quarterly without quotes.
  • Then choose Jump to quarterly.
  • You will come to the screen Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid.  Choose the appropriate categories.

No, the IRS doesn't automatically send you a form showing your estimated tax payments that you made during the year.

For future reference, if you use their free service EFTPS to make the payments online, you can print out payment history there.   Here's the website, if you ever want to use that free service to make your payments in the future.  You have to apply to open an account and get a PIN number mailed to you.
https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/

Also for future reference, you can also make estimated payments electronically (and free) from your bank account at the IRS website using IRS Direct Pay and print out a confirmation:
https://www.irs.gov/Payments
If you make a credit/debit card payment, however, there is a service fee.

The advantage of either of those is that no paperwork has to be mailed.  Those methods can also be used to pay Federal taxes due, such as with your Form 1040 in April.

Typo corrected above.  It first said "EFPTS" when I meant to type EFTPS.  I saw it right away and corrected it, but you may have been emailed the original answer with the typo.
