I am filing my State Taxes under "Married filing separate return.' I need to change the "You did not live with spouse at any time during the year" box to unchecked.

I need to uncheck the box, but I can't find out where to do that.

To get back to this box please follow the instructions from the article below. In case you need additional assistance, I have included additional help navigation tips  and the Contact Us form.

1. Click on the Personal Info tab.
2. On the Personal info Summary screen, click on Edit next to your filing status.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
3. On the Let's confirm your marital status screen, mark the radio button next to Married. 
4. For the question Do you want to file this return together with your spouse? select the No radio button and click Continue  [Screenshot #2]
5. On the screen, Let's see if these apply, you can mark the box I didn't live with [spouse] at any time between July 1, 2016, and December 31, 2016.  (if it applies).

NOTE : You must be logged into your tax return to see the “tools” option under your account.

TurboTax Online Steps :

    Click on My Account. Then click on Tools.
    Click on Topic List. This will show you were you have been/what you have done.

Use Topic Search to find a form to edit etc. by typing into the search box within Topic Search. It is located in the Tools section where you also find Topic List.
