I had a distribution from my 401K (Thrift Savings Plan- Fed employee) in 2018.  I am filling in the details from my 1099-R and TurboTax is asking me the source of the distribution.  I am not sure what to select.  Can someone clarify this for me?  Thanks

Did you enter the code in Box 7 of the 1099 R? Go and make sure a code is entered in box 7  of the 1099 R.

Did you answer the question on whether it's a IRA/SEP/SIMPLE? If it's normal distribution the box will probably be unchecked.
