This new refund SCAM based out of UTAH where taxpayers information has been breached, has TURBOTAX been breached ? I live in INDIANA and had a FRAUDULENT charge.

We have not been informed of any breach of information involving TurboTax at all. Keep in mind that the TurboTax prepaid card is not issued by us, but by a 3rd party servicer by the name of GreenDot bank. You can contact Turbo prepaid card customer service at (888) 285-4169 if you would like to inquire with them.

Thanks. I’ve been using Turbotax for a long time and confident in the software. Just curious how far that breach went. They are not telling us what tax software was breached, only that they assume it started from a small office by phone.

GreenDot/Netspend are not very reputable. From first hand experience, I can say if you have any problems, they are not very good at solving them. The only option they basically have is to replace a card. I’ve recently found out more information concerning the charge they called FRAUDULENT was not really fraudulent at all but they gave me false information. Not very secure. I only use these cards for my refund but I have an excellent suggestion to Turbotax. You are a big company with great marks for your software program. I’d say it would only be a good idea to invest in your own VISA/MASTERCARD contract to produce your own debit card. Friendly advice. Thanks.
