Third party designee

I read another response that says I can put myself as Third party designee for my daughter's tax return. But what is the 5 digit pin it is looking for. Do I make one up for this purpose or is it asking for the identifier I use when I efile my own tax return?

You will create your own 5 digit PIN. Then you will need to know it if you ever reach out to discuss your daughter's return with the IRS.
