There's an approximate $1,450 error in Proceeds total. How do I get a scrollable list of all transactions so I can find the error.

I imported 1099B from E*Trade but had to edit about 150 of the transactions because TT doesn't recognize options, expired options, doesn't allow zero cost for them, etc., etc. Complaints about this for four years but nothing gets done. My total short term Costs are correct, but total Proceeds are NOT. The review process if ridiculous. Its split into 25 subpages of transactions, each of which takes a while to load. What idiot decided to do that? Really, 25 at a time? It will take me hours to find the error looking that way!

There are two transactions that I suspect might have the error, but there's NO SEARCH CAPABILITY for securities transactions!

That doesn't work. There's simply no way to search for a transaction once you've entered it. In Forms mode, TT shows no more than 125 closing transactions on the accessible Capital Asset Sales Worksheets (and the type is so small as to be unreadable). It shows even fewer transactions on Form 8949 and summarizes totals for the rest.

But I found a much better way to enter all my stock/option transactions! IT TOTALLY AVOIDS HAVING TO EDIT TRANSACTIONS WITH ZERO COST OR PROCEEDS! That process took 10 hours for me. Here's what you do.

There's a website called Form8949.com

It charges less than $15 and will read your broker's 1099B form and convert it to many different formats. The format I used was a TXF file, which can be simply imported into TurboTax! I had to make ZERO CHANGES and got no warnings or errors on the result and it was accurate to the penny. It will also output to CSV, XLSX and other formats. And you don't have to give it your brokers login credentials, which to me is an advantage.

Are you using TurboTax Desktop?  If using TurboTax Desktop you can switch to forms mode.  To access forms mode, you click forms in the upper right corner.
