Why does the filing fee keep increasing?

There is no e-filing fee for either federal or state returns in TurboTax Online.

If you're referring to the Online product prices:

Earlier in the tax filing season, TurboTax discounts their product prices.  Typically, those discounts expire in late February or mid-March.

If you'd like to secure an earlier price (at discounted rates), you can choose to pay for your TurboTax product before filing.  Instructions follow below.
