There is a local tax withheld on my W2 - Boone County, KY. Is there is County return requirement ? I am resident in the state of KY. Thank you.

In most cases, no. If local taxes are taken out on W-2 income in Kentucky, they take out the exact amount. Local taxes cover all income earned in the locality, (even a 401K and what is deducted for health insurance), For most, the only time they have to file a local return is if they have self-employment earned there.
