Dose CFA count as a Certificate program?

I enrolled in the CFA program last year to take the Level 1 CFA exam in June. Can i deduct this from my 2016 taxes?

The tuition for the course may be a Lifetime Learning credit deduction but the cost of the exam is not.

so i can enter the cost for the course? i asked because when i entered the program i had to pay to start the CFA program and then pay for the level 1 exam

If the course is to get the CFA certificate, you can get credit for it.  If the course is a prep course to take the exam, you cannot get credit for it.  And there is no credit for the cost of taking the exam itself.
