Question

The program is asking for the authentication code, I type it in and get error message 630...over and over and over. I tried downloading --same thing.

To resolve this issue, you can call TurboTax and speak with an agent.  TurboTax customer service/support does not have a single phone number but has many different phone numbers based on the type of platform used.  So that we can direct your call to the best person/department to help you:

  1. Click on this link:  https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/
  2. Select your TurboTax platform.  
  3. Ask your question / state your problem.  Do NOT use the word "refund' or you will get a phone number for tax refunds.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. On the next screen, choose the Call option and follow the instructions.  You will be given the approximate wait time.  

You'll get a toll-free number to a TurboTax expert who is specially-trained to handle your particular issue.

I spent 4 hours with 2 experts and one customer support/ salesperson.  My issue was not resolved. The first one spent 2 hours with me, showing me how to clean my computer, etc.  She also had me download it (I was using a CD) and I got the same error.  She really tried.  Finally she set me up to do my taxes online, but then I was going to have to start all over when I was nearly finished and I had entered a lot of information. As I was not satisfied, she then tried to connect me with a higher level tech support person and that line was busy, and I lost my connection. I was immediately called by someone that clearly had no tech skills and wasted 45 minutes, mostly on hold while she asked other people my questions I think. She told me to take it to Costco and get a refund, but the downloaded version wasn’t working either. I finally hung up on her and called again and got tech support. He also had me download again but then told  me I needed to take my computer in to be repaired. I now see someone else is having the same issue. I’m wondering if it’s a bug in their latest update.
