As part of additional NY state tax forms that were recommended to print out after filing the NYS tax return (self-employed version) there is a MCTMT worksheet for self-employed individuals that shows I have a balance due of a certain amount. But it does not show where to pay this amount though.
I have a net positive NYS refund from other estimated taxes that I had overpaid for NY state taxes-- would this balance due for MCTMT already automatically be paid off from my other estimated taxes that I had submitted to New York (but not assigned specifically to MCTMT)? Or do I need to pay this MCTMT balance -- if so, how?
I typically pay estimated MCTMT along with NY state estimated taxes via the NY state finance portal, but it doesn't give me an option to pay specifically a MCTMT balance left on a 2022 year.
Thank you for your help.

It is not paid separately. The MCTMT is a part of the NY return and shows on line 54b. It is part of your total tax on line 61. The payments you have made should be included on line 76.
Your refund shows on line 77.
Since you have a refund, the program must have been letting you know about the MCTMT being a part of your return. Please verify with your return that this is the case. Let us know if you need more help.

@mw888 how did this end up resolving for you? I'm experiencing the same thing this year and I still haven't really found a clear answer...
