I am using the desktop version to do my 2024 taxes for Fed and Missouri. At the end of the state process the program constantly freezes and displays "Not Responding". It has nothing to do with my Internet connection, I use a high speed direct cable LAN access.

I am using the desktop version as I stated. What does that have to do with my browser cookies/cache?? Why didn't you just tell me to turn my computer off and then on again?! What a joke! So basically there is zero actual technical support for this garbage.
I noticed this issue on my Windows 11, Desktop Premier....as have a number of other folks.
I found that if I just waited a Loooooog time...eventually the page moved on to the next step.
Apparently it happens at the final Review "Summary" step where hitting "Continue" doesn't seem to do anything.
Hit the "Continue" then go clean out your email for at least 2 minutes...or wash dishes/take out the trash.
_______________
Another person said it also happens when starting the final Filing steps...but I haven't gotten that far and won't for a couple weeks.

Yep...something strange that the TTX software is doing in the background...apparently.
They really need to work on whatever the hangup is......millions of folks are going to start jumping ship if TTX doesn't fix it. A bunch are already jumping ship due to other software changes this year that were improperly tested and poorly thought out.
I’ve tried both and still nothing is working
I can't know why yours is happening.
IF you are on a Windows computer...a Windows update was issued this week. IF partially-installed, that has been known to block proper operation of TTX. Check for that Windows update...make sure it's fully installed and you re-boot the computer before trying again. Re-Boot even if you don't see an OS update and try again after that.

I haven't experienced that problem since sometime mid-late February...so make sure your TTX software is fully updated too.
Delete all old forms that you don'tneed anymore, ie depreciation. I had the same issue, spent hours on the phonecwith TT with no success. When I deleted old forms it worked beautifully.
Delete all old unused forms, ie depreciation.
